Valley Aero Modelers club maintains Quarry Field north of Appleton, and rents space at the Anderson Sod Farm west of Appleton. Both fields are open to the members where each field fulfills unique model and flying styles.

SHARKS field has both paved north-south and east-west runways and neatly trimmed grassy areas, for flyers who prefer taking off and landing on a softer, more forgiving surface. The club house is a large four garage door building. The two pilots-only pit areas are marked off with chain-link fences that separate them from the general public and provide protection from wayward planes. Both runways have five chain-linked flight stations spaced perfectly for pilot comfort and adhere to AMA regulations. Field has electricity at the field houses, the spacious elevated sun shelter and an outdoor pedestal for camper use.

Address: Exit Interstate 90 at West Salem, and follow Hy 16 West to Gill's Coulee Rd., ax. 1 mile west of CTH "M". Turn right, and airfield is ax. 1 mi. north of Hy 16 on Gill's Coulee Rd.
